Worst Energy Bars For Meal Replacement

Is Energy Bars Healthy

I have never been a strong advocate of energy bars. There is a lot of advertisement out their saying that energy bars are excellent meal replacement supplements. Also, they say that energy bars are suppose to be so nutritional. Energy Bars have been around since the 1980s. The energy bars is a billion dollar industry.

However, I don’t eat them because there is so much research indicated that they are not healthy. Also, energy bars are not healthy alternatives to eating a well balanced meal. Most of these energy bars are simply candy bars. I would prefer to eat fruits, vegetable or nuts instead of a energy bar. I’m sorry but these bars are not all that healthy.

I don’t recommend people eat them. They should be treated like a dessert. You should eat them every now and then. I don’t think these bars are all that healthy. I think it is a lot of hype. A lot of these energy bars, diet bars, meal replacement bars or diet bars have a lot of sugar and saturated fat. There is nothing magical about these bars.

You may think energy or meal replacement bars may be the solution to your busy life style. However, keep in mind most of them cheap and they have inferior ingredients. Also, they contain a lot of preservative, additives and sugar.  These types of ingredient put stress on the body. This is why I stay away from them.

Four Of The Worst Energy Bars

  1. Zone Perfect Chocolate Peanut Butter: This energy bar is made with a lot of cheap ingredients. It has soy and a lot of high fructose corn syrup. It also has a lot of synthetic vitamins. The ingredients are not organic.
  2. Luna Bar Lemon Zest: It does have protein, but it has a lot of sugar. The sugar is more than the fiber and protein in this energy bar. It is non-organic and it has soy.
  3. PowerBar Protein Plus Chocolate Just the name of this bar scares says a lot. This bar has a lot of syrup. Also, it has soy.
  4. Balance Bar Cookie Dough: This is a very low quality energy bar. It has fructose and syrup. Also, it has soy. Also, it has a lot of sugar and oil.
