Bee stings can be painful. Also, a bee sting can be very dangerous for some people. When you are attacked by a bee that stings such as a honeybee or bumblebee, the bee leaves a stinger along with a venom sac in the skin. Some people just experience some pain, irritation, and swelling.

Some people are allergic to bee stings and they need immediate medical attention. People that are allergic will experience symptoms such as swollen hands, and eyelids. Also, they will have a difficult time breathing. They sometimes experience nausea and vomiting. They can even faint and get a rash. If a person is allergic to bee stings, they have to get medical attention immediately.

Ways To Avoid Bee Stings
1. Keep Outdoor Areas Clean: Keep Grills, Picnic Tables Clean and Properly Seal Trash

3. Keep Body Properly Clothed
4. Avoid Plants
5. Wear Light Color Clothing
6. Avoid shampoos, deodorants, soaps perfume and cologne
7. Stay Clean Don’t Go Into A Bee Area Sweating
8. If You See Bees stay still or lie face down on the ground. Swing at bees will agitate them.
9. If possible run and get away from bees. Once you are stung by one bee, the other bees will know it. They will be coming after you. So try to get to a place of safety.
How To Handle A Be Sting
1. If you are allergic to be stings get to a hospital
2. Clean bee sting site with soap and water
3. Remove be stinger. You can use a gauze to remove the bee sting by wiping over the bee sting site
4. You can remove the stinger with a credit card, or fingernail
5. Don’t use Tweezers or squeeze stingers. This can cause more venom to go into the skin and muscles.
6. Use a ice pack to reduce the swelling
7. Do not rub or scratch the area. This will cause the area to get irritate or infected.
8. Taking an antihistamine such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl) or a nonsedating one such as loratadine (Claritin) will help with itching.
9. Take ibuprofen (Motrin) or acetaminophen (Tylenol) for pain relief as needed.
