usually comes from various types of viruses. There are over 200 viruses that
leads to the common cold. However, the most popular one is rhinovirus. A common
cold normally last for two weeks. Most colds last about 7 to 10 days, but if
your symptoms linger, you may need to call the doctor. Sometimes, colds lead to
an infection by bacteria in your sinuses, ears and lungs.
How Do People Become Infected With The Common Cold
It is easy for the common cold to be spread. The virus for the common cold
becomes airborne. Respiratory droplets get into the air when people sneeze or
cough. Also, people get infected with the cold virus when they hug, kiss or
shake hands. It can also spread from one person to another if you share a drink
or touch a contaminated surface. Also, if you are under a lot of stress, tired,
not getting a lot of sleep or immune system is compromise, it will increase the
chances of you catching a cold.
