1. Research wht type of products does the company have?

Since network marketing involves much of selling, you need to carefully select products that people really want to buy. Products that are consumable tend to sell more than other products, but they need to be unique and scarce, so that you won’t be competing with other company’s products.

2. What is the primary focus of the MLM Company? Product sales or recruits?

Many of the network marketing companies you will find will reward you more for bring new members into their program than for selling their products. You must avoid such programs because they are only out to make money out of their members, not their products. you want to choose a company that could exist just on the selling of the products and no recruiting.

3. What is the compensation plan?

Another thing to look at when considering a network marketing opportunity is the commission or compensation plan structure. If the commission structure isn’t clear enough or is subject to many unclear “terms and conditions“, then it’s not good for you.

A good network marketing program must be able to state clearly in how much you will earn for each product sale and for each new recruit as well as how much you will earn as you move up the commissions ladder. Another thing to look at is the commission amount. Does it sound too good to be true? If yes, then it’s most likely a scam.

4. How Long Has The Company Been In Business?

I like a company that has been in business for at least 4 or 5 years. If the company just began operations a few months back, stay away from it, no matter how attractive its commission structure looks. Instead, look for companies that have been in the network marketing business for several years—the more the number of years, the better.

5. What are people saying about this company?

Before deciding to join a particular network marketing company, you need to find out other people’s opinion about them. Here, I mean the opinion of people who have marketed products and recruited new members for the company.

A simple way to find such opinions is to search the web. If you find many positive reviews and maybe one or two negative ones, then you can go with that company. But if you find a worrisome number of negative reviews, stay away from such a company—even if there are also ten times that number of positive reviews
